- Arcane MageElite single-target and cleave backed by strong defensives and Mage utility.
- Protection PaladinThe most complete PTR tank across damage, durability, control, and team utility.
- Mistweaver MonkThe leading key healer combines throughput, damage, mobility, and Mystic Touch.
Tier A
- Frost Death KnightA raid standout whose burst and durability remain useful in keys.
- Destruction WarlockPremium raid cleave and execute with enough dungeon value to stay generalist.
- Devourer Demon HunterA high-burst, highly mobile new ranged spec with especially strong key results.
- Unholy Death KnightMassive late PTR AoE buffs give Unholy a high ceiling that logs have not caught up to.
- Affliction WarlockReliable sustained multi-target and funnel pressure across both PvE modes.
- Shadow PriestRaid strength and Power Infusion offset a sharp disagreement in current key data.
- Frost MagePromising raid and key numbers, but the dungeon sample is far too small for certainty.
- Enhancement ShamanStrong dungeon burst and physical-group synergy with broad Shaman utility.
- Retribution PaladinReliable damage plus best-in-class emergency utility creates a safe general pick.
- Blood Death KnightLate massive buffs project Blood into the top key group before logs can verify it.
- Protection WarriorReliable mitigation and valuable group cooldowns form a strong two-mode package.
- Vengeance Demon HunterElite mobility, sigils, and dungeon control outweigh a weaker old raid sample.
- Preservation EvokerOutstanding raw healing in both samples is checked by range and roster constraints.
- Discipline PriestAbsorbs, damage, externals, and Power Infusion create consistent progression value.
- Restoration ShamanA deep utility kit and late healing buffs make Restoration a safe all-content healer.
Tier B
- Havoc Demon HunterRaid value and Chaos Brand are clear, but current key performance lags.
- Devastation EvokerStrong raid burst and mobility, with more pronounced valleys in keys.
- Outlaw RogueSustained damage and control remain useful without a standout PTR niche.
- Windwalker MonkExcellent-looking M+ damage comes from too few runs to outweigh average raid value.
- Demonology WarlockPromising key tests were followed by a material Diabolist pet reduction.
- Augmentation EvokerSupport value can outperform its personal logs, but it remains composition-dependent.
- Survival HunterA flexible toolkit lacks enough clean PTR testing to justify a higher general tier.
- Beast Mastery HunterFull mobility and improved Beast Cleave are attractive, but evidence is minimal.
- Feral DruidRecent AoE gains give Feral a plausible key niche that testing has barely sampled.
- Fury WarriorDurable and approachable with recent buffs, but lacks a leading damage niche.
- Brewmaster MonkStagger and Mystic Touch keep Brewmaster viable without matching the leaders.
- Guardian DruidA sturdy utility tank whose key damage is currently difficult to recommend.
- Holy PriestExceptional raid HPS cannot fully offset a weaker dungeon damage/utility package.
- Holy PaladinPriority healing and externals are strong, but mana-sensitive set design caps certainty.
Tier C
- Assassination RogueTheoretical funnel value has not overcome the weakest current raid results.
- Subtlety RogueControl remains excellent, but damage and rotational tuning are still unresolved.
- Fire MageA familiar burst profile has not produced competitive PTR PvE results.
- Restoration DruidCurrent key results and a late Regrowth nerf leave Restoration behind its peers.
PVP ranking
Overall placement across Arena, Solo Shuffle, RBG, and Blitz.
Tier S

- Preservation EvokerTop live throughput gains a strong tier set and targeted triage improvements.
- Frost MageThe live arena benchmark adds damage, a strong set, and double barriers.
- Assassination RogueBroad damage gains, smoother Energy, Iron Wire, and Mortal Wounds upgrade an elite control shell.
- Outlaw RogueLive top-tier arena control and durability gain damage, Killing Spree, and a strong Dispatch set.
- Subtlety RogueUnmatched setup and objective control now pairs with a major Goremaw’s Bite buff.
- Arms WarriorMortal Strike, top live 3v3 results, stronger Ignore Pain, and execute support make Arms exceptionally safe.
Tier A
- Unholy Death KnightPet-and-disease pressure, Mortal Wounds, and execute scaling remain threatening after mixed PTR changes.
- Havoc Demon HunterSelf-sufficient pressure and mobility remain ideal for Shuffle and objectives.
- Balance DruidDamage buffs, built-in dispel protection, and a strong Eclipse set are major PTR wins.
- Feral DruidHigher sustain, stronger off-heals, and a longer Berserk window reinforce a flexible arena kit.
- Devastation EvokerUnbound Flame, stronger off-healing, and a Shattering Star set improve its pressure package.
- Beast Mastery HunterInstant sustained pressure, Scatter Shot, and stronger Roar of Sacrifice are ideal for 2v2.
- Marksmanship HunterLarge Aimed/Rapid Fire tuning plus Scatter Shot creates lethal ranged pressure.
- Survival HunterBomb, Pack Leader, Scatter Shot, and tier changes deepen its sustained-control profile.
- Fire MageA 12% global buff, stronger Pyroblast, and double barriers make Fire a clear PTR riser.
- Mistweaver MonkExceptional mobility and objective healing remain elite despite healing and fistweaving reductions.
- Windwalker MonkMore passive durability, stronger builders, and improved off-healing smooth its profile.
- Holy PaladinLarge healing, Holy Shock, spender, and damage buffs address the live deficit.
- Retribution PaladinShuffle-friendly burst, saves, and off-healing remain excellent after a damage trim.
- Discipline PriestDeterministic Void Shield access and stronger baseline heals fit every bracket.
- Holy PriestBroad healing, Prayer of Mending, and mana improvements strengthen reliable saves.
- Shadow PriestAn 8% damage buff, stronger shields, and a high-pressure set improve rot and control.
- Enhancement ShamanCore attacks and off-healing gain sustain while burst spikes become steadier.
- Affliction WarlockStronger DoTs, Bonds of Fel, and a scaling set create exceptional rot pressure.
Tier B
- Frost Death KnightReliable grip setups remain useful, but damage and broad slow reductions cap the projection.
- Arcane MageTwo-charge barriers improve survival, but offensive and immunity losses keep arena results uncertain.
- Elemental ShamanStronger sustained Flame Shock pressure is offset by large burst reductions.
- Restoration ShamanLarge Riptide and Farseer buffs meet elite utility, but the live baseline remains weak.
- Demonology WarlockPet pressure and control remain useful after late Diabolist reductions.
- Destruction WarlockBonds of Fel and a set amplifier reward coordinated casts amid heavy tuning churn.
- Fury WarriorHigh uptime and an extended Recklessness set suit uncoordinated Shuffle.
Tier C
- Vengeance Demon HunterElite mobility and sigil control preserve a flag-carrier niche only.
- Guardian DruidDurability, mobility, and stealth preserve premier flag-carry value.
- Augmentation EvokerBuffs and off-healing help teams, but arena results and mobility losses remain poor.
- Brewmaster MonkMobility and disruption offer a situational flag role, not a broad PvP profile.
Tier D
- Blood Death KnightGrips can help an objective team, but Blood lacks broad competitive kill pressure.
- Protection PaladinImmunities and utility can stall objectives without producing reliable wins.
- Protection WarriorControl and flag utility offer a narrow battleground role only.
Research notes and PTR caveats
- PTR Mythic+ includes 1,610 tracked runs through July 24; raid includes 3,589 pulls but stops July 17, before the latest tuning.
- No five elite creators have published complete, comparable 12.1 lists across all PvP brackets; current live data is used only as a baseline.
- Confidence falls when a late rework, tiny sample, support spec, or source disagreement makes the placement unstable.
- S through D is role-relative: a healer, tank, and DPS in the same tier are not being compared on raw throughput.
